BRIT School short films shown with David Lean Cinema features

In partnership with the School’s Film & Media Production department, the David Lean Cinema is delighted to present the BRIT School Showcase – featuring short films made by students aged 14 to 18. A different film will be shown at selected screenings each month. Classifications are from Croydon Council.

Our July/August film will be Jab (12A, 2.5 mins), directed by Theo Batterham. This was Theo’s first film, and his aim was to portray a sense of tension.

Because the cinema will be closed for two weeks in August, Jab will also accompany selected August screenings, making the full schedule:

    • Jeune Femme – 3 July
    • On Chesil Beach – 5 & 18 July and 21 August (Babes in Arms screening)
    • Funny Cow – 10 (Babes in Arms screening) & 11 July
    • Tully – 10 July
    • L’Amant Double – 24 July
    • The Happy Prince – 2 August
    • Swimming with Men – 23 August
    • McKellen: Playing the Part – 30 August
