The art-house classic, Chelsea Girls follows various residents of the Chelsea Hotel in 1966 New York City. The film consists of twelve reels of unedited conversations and monologues with Warhol’s ‘superstars’. It is presented in a split screen with a single audio track in conjunction with one side of screen. Many of Warhol’s films were experimental and aimed to push the boundaries of cinema.
