Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, a father, Ben (Mortensen), dedicates his life to raising his six kids with rigorous physical and intellectual education. But when tragedy strikes, they are forced to leave their utopia and encounter mainstream society.

Here, Ben’s ideals are quickly challenged, while the children try to reconcile the wider world with everything he’s taught them.

With a standout performance from Mortensen as the stubborn yet devoted father, Captain Fantastic is a pleasantly unpredictable and thought provoking exploration of what it means to be a parent.
