2024 | Dir Robert Eggers | 106m | UK | France
Stars: Bill Skarsgard, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe

Step into the shadowy realm of Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, a haunting reimagining of the iconic 1922 silent horror masterpiece. Written and directed by Eggers, known for The Witch and The Lighthouse, this spellbinding film weaves a chilling tale of obsession, dread, and the supernatural. Property agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult) is sent to arrange a property deal with the sinister Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård), not realising he is putting himself and his young wife (Lily-Rose Depp) in grave danger. “Nosferatu is one of the most profoundly frightening horror films in years” (The Independent).

“WOW – I thought it was one of the best films of the year- a masterpiece! Interestingly it follows the original 1922 silent version quite closely but expands on it. The atmosphere and gothic sets and landscapes are stunning, with a terrific soundtrack. Within its own world it seems authentic, aided by the costumes and the superb performances and script.” Roger Gibson – Film programmer at Chichester Cinema.
The evening screening is subtitled for those with hearing loss.
