THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE
Tuesday 14 April 2020 at 7.30pm

Adam Driver, Jason Watkins, José Luis Ferrer

Once upon a time, Toby (Adam Driver) was an idealistic young film student. These days he is a jaded, arrogant and over-sexed commercials director. But Toby is moved to revisit the location of his student film, a re-telling of Don Quixote.

To Toby’s horror, his little film has had a terrible effect on the sleepy village. Angelica, the young girl who was innocence personified, now works as a high-class call-girl, and the old man who played Quixote (Jonathan Pryce) has gone completely mad, believing he really is the ‘Knight of the Mournful Countenance’.

After a three-decade production ordeal (Terry) Gilliam has delivered a sun-baked fable of money, madness and the movie business – and done so with trademark infectious charm.” The Guardian
