Having been sacked by his band No Vacancy, Dewey Finn (Black) lands a temporary post as teacher at a local primary school. After overhearing his class in a music lesson, he hatches an audacious plan to form a rock band from the best pupils, enter them in the local Battle of the Bands competition and so embarrass his ex-band, who are also entering. Jack Black has his own rock band, as well as being a consummate comedian, and ensures you will be rocking (and rolling) with laughter.
