In a future society divided by genetic engineering and social class, Artificial Friends (AF) are created to help combat human loneliness. Klara (Jenna Ortega), an older model AF with an observant nature and a dependence on sunlight, waits patiently in a shop for someone to choose her. Her life changes when she is brought home by Josie (Mia Tharia), a bright teenager living with a mysterious illness. Despite her mother’s reservations, Klara becomes increasingly close to Josie and her family, helping them through their grief while discovering more about the complicated world of human relationships.
Our 2:30pm screening includes captioned subtitles for those with hearing loss.
Tickets go on sale at 9pm on 8th October.
