After failing to get a much hoped for residential summer writing scholarship, Anthony ‘Tony’ Bourdain heads to Provincetown Massachusetts regardless, in pursuit of Nancy, his high school crush. Arrogant yet vulnerable, he finds himself working alongside a crew of reprobates in the kitchen of Antonio Banderas’s ramshackle seafood restaurant for the summer of 1975.
Based upon the opening chapters of his best-selling memoir, Kitchen Confidential (2000), Tony is a sensitive yet gritty biopic with great performances and a rocking mid 70’s soundtrack.
