Alastair Sim heads a fine cast of British acting talent from the post-war era in this classic rendering of Charles Dickens’s tale of moral redemption, as the miser Scrooge is made to change his ways following visitations from the ghost of his old partner and three seasonal spirits. Sim’s portrayal of the seasonal curmudgeon is thought by many critics to be the best.
