Gay novelist Edward cares for his mother, who is recovering from a stroke and communicates through a tablet. His young adult novel has been a success and his publishers want him to go on a US publicity tour, but he is stalling because of his mother. And then his three gay friends dump their mothers on him while they go to a Pride festival in Spain. Co-written by Darren Thornton and his brother, this is a charming film, by turns funny and moving, as Edward negotiates his need to care for his charges with his career ambitions.
The evening screening will be subtitled for those with a hearing loss.
