WATERLOO SUNSET (2024) plus Q&A
Wednesday 04 December 2024 at 7.00pm
2024 | Dir Harvey Marcus | 90m | UK
Hopton’s Almshouses are a collection of affordable cottages for low-income over-65s, a stone’s throw from Tate Modern on the South Bank. This documentary films and interviews its residents, who have wonderful stories to tell, while acknowledging they are lucky to live where they are. Harvey Marcus’s film is no campaigning polemic, and simply lets the residents tell their stories, allowing them to show that the elderly are a vital part of our society and not to be ignored or forgotten.
Harvey Marcus and Shamus Dark (one of the residents portrayed in the film) will join us for a Q&A session after the film.
