Stars: Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Ehle, Michael Berbieri, Theo Taplitz
13-year-old Jake (Taplitz) is an introverted, artistic loner, whose family leaves Manhattan to move into his late grandfather’s Brooklyn home. There, Jake strikes up an unlikely friendship with Tony (Barbieri), a charismatic aspiring actor, whose single mother Leonor runs the shop downstairs.
After Jake’s parents ask Leonor to sign a dearer lease on the store, a feud ignites between the adults.
This tension soon filters into the children’s lives, threatening their new friendship….
A heart-rending drama from the director of recent David Lean presentation Love Is Strange, with remarkably strong performances from its young actors.
