57-year-old Shelly has been dancing in a cheesy Las Vegas revue for 30 years, but audiences are looking for something more risqué, and the show is about to close. Shocked at the news, Shelly must work out what to do next, while patching up her relationship with her adult daughter, and keeping on good terms with her bosses and her fellow dancers. The director, granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola, gets help on both sides of the camera from the extended Coppola clan in a film which treats its main character, wonderfully played by Pamela Anderson, with the empathy that she deserves.
