One of the iconic ‘Swinging Sixties’ films with a Quincy Jones score beloved of English football fans, this crime caper has Michael Caine’s cockney criminal Charlie Croker leading a gang planning to snatch a load of gold bullion in transit through Milan. The film turned the Mini Cooper into a world brand, and is famed for its literal cliffhanger ending, and an iconic van explosion (filmed in Crystal Palace Park) which prompts one of cinema’s most famous lines.
A 35mm presentation in association with The Cinema Museum.
