Closing Pablo Larraín’s trilogy of stylised biopics of 20th century icons, we see Angelina Jolie taking on the role of opera singer Maria Callas. Jolie shines as the fading Callas, who is determined to perform again after an extended break from the stage in the wake of health problems. However, as she looks back on her life, and the decisions which led to her present situation, the lines between fact and fiction begin to blur.
