a Croydon Comedy Festival screening
Director: Jaco Van Dormael
Stars: Benoît Poelvoorde, Catherine Deneuve, Yolande Moreau, Pili Groyne
Imagine:
That God lives among us now (or at least is holed up in a flat in Brussels, dreaming up mean schemes and disasters for the world;
and that his ten-year-old daughter decided to escape, gather six new disciples, and write a Brand New Testament.
And that their story is brought to you with great verve and imagination, dark humour, an extremely irreverent but genuine belief in both justice and redemption, and a sense of wonder, like Amelie turned up to 11.
Does that sound like fun? We certainly think it is!
